Defending Cabinet Minister Harak Singh Rawat, whose PRO Yudhveer Singh Rawat was allegedly murdered by a woman with access to his house and also arrested from his house, Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna denied all the allegations made by the Opposition. Opposition has been dragging Cabinet Minister's name just to get political mileage.
Political analyst said that State Government, who had just now come out from Opposition’s target after disaster, is again their prime target. Earlier Vijay Bahuguna Government was being targeted by the Opposition over the lackadaisical approach in rescue and relief operation.
To diffuse the crisis in upcoming monsoon session, which is going to begin by September 18, CM has decided to have a meeting with ruling parties MlAs so that they are aware about the Government’s programme to rebuild the State infrastructure, which were damaged due to cloudburst in three rivers namely Mandakini in Kedarnath, Alaknanda in Badrinath and Bhagirathi in Gangotri on June 16-17.
Now again Sudha Patwal, who allegedly hired contract killers to eliminate Yudhveer, has claimed that she was arrested from Harak Singh Rawat’s house. However, the police says they have arrested her from Vasant vihar, which is one of the posh colonies of the Dehradun. It has raised question mark over the police that they have been trying to shield the Cabinet Minister because either police or Sudha Patwal is lying.
Talking to The Pioneer, CM Bahuguna said that the Cabinet Minister is not associated with the case but Opposition is putting all effort to drag his name. It would be pertinent to mention here that if we believe over the Patwal, who said she had taken money from Yudhveer to ensure admission of a candidate in SGRR medical college but could not secure a seat so he was putting pressure on her to return the money, then picture is clear that can anyone believe that a person can run admission racket without getting patronised by anyone.
Although Harak Singh Rawat has made it clear that he does not know about what was the dealing between Yudhveer and Patwal. One thing is clear that Yudhveer was murdered and need to be investigated. later he refused Opposition demand that the matter should be referred to CBI.
