In a resounding call to action, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday passionately implored the people of the state to join hands in catapulting Punjab to the forefront of the nation by eliminating prevailing social maladies. This fervent appeal came while speaking at Baba Farid University of Health Sciences following the inauguration of the newly constructed Mother and Child Care Hospital and the appointment of 250 Nursing Officers.
Mann's address underscored the intrinsic entrepreneurial spirit of Punjabis and their global achievements, attributing these successes to their unmatched hard work and resilience. He urged Punjabis to channel this spirit into a collective effort to eradicate societal issues, emphasizing the government's dedication to leveraging these qualities for the state's progress and envisioning a 'Rangla Punjab’.
The Chief Minister also drew parallels between the teachings of Baba Farid and their relevance in today's materialistic society. He emphasized the enduring inspiration derived from Baba Farid's life and philosophy, urging present and future generations to serve humanity with utmost zeal and dedication.
The recently inaugurated Mother and Child Care Hospital was hailed by Mann as a vital component in the state's healthcare infrastructure, serving as a catalyst for delivering quality healthcare to pregnant women and newborns. Congratulating the newly-appointed Nursing Officers, Mann called upon them to embrace their role as integral parts of the government, serving the people with missionary zeal.
Critiquing the “callousness” of previous regimes, Mann highlighted the stark contrast with the AAP Government's commitment to transparency, exemplified by providing over 38,000 jobs within a year, solely based on merit. In a bid to motivate aspiring youth, he assured them of forthcoming opportunities while encouraging current recruits to continually strive for improvement.
