Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Sunday announced that all the unapproved colonies which fulfilled the criteria laid down by the Government up to November 10, 2013 will be regularised. The unapproved colonies fulfilling the criteria up to 2009 were regularised earlier, the announcement of which was made in Gohana Rally, organised on November 10.
Hooda on Sunday addressed a gathering in Gurgaon where a programme was organised by Sports Minister Sukhbir Singh Kataria. The issue of regularising unapproved colonies was raised by Kataria during his welcome address who said that though the State Government has regularised many unapproved colonies yet many colonies still remained in Gurgaon which need to be regularised for providing basic amenities there.
The Chief Minister replied on the issue and said that the unapproved colonies developed up to 2009 which fitted into the parameters laid down by the Government, were regularised earlier and announcement to this effect was made at the Shakti Rally of Congress organised in Gohana (district Sonepat) on November 10 last year.
For those which still remained unapproved, for them the cut-off date is now November 10, 2013, that is, by then they should have fulfilled the criteria, would be regularised. The aim is only to provide basic amenities to the people living there. While greeting the people for lohri and Makar Sankranti, Hooda said that the State Government would not leave any shortcomings in development of Gurgaon.
Referring to the demands put up by Kataria, the Chief Minister said that he himself belongs to a family of freedom fighters so he would like that the roads and parks should be named after the names of freedom fighters. This is good initiative but he would get these demands verified and then take a decision.
