CM directs officers to fix meetings with general public

In an attempt to provide efficient administrative services to the people, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Tuesday directed the officers of the State Government to fix time exclusively for meeting general public and their elected representatives.

At the same time, the Chief Minister has asked the officer to avoid any Government meeting during the “fixed time” dedicated to meeting people.

“In the orders issued on Tuesday, Badal has expressed deep concern over the rising complaints of the public and their elected representatives that the officers have either not fixed any time for redressing their grievances or usually avoid to meet them, due to which public and their representatives have to face a lot of problem in getting their day-to-day administrative works done,” stated the spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office.

Taking cognizance of the same, the CM had directed officers of the state government to specifically fix the hours for meeting public and their representatives, so that they could be provided quick and prompt administrative services.
