Keeping in view the upcoming municipal elections in the State, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Partap Singh Bajwa on Tuesday assigned duties for organisational affairs in all districts to the PPCC office bearers.
Besides, the PPCC chief has also assigned duties to the party’s office bearers of its various frontal organisation, cells and departments. Bajwa would also carry out a Statewide tour at all district level for the forthcoming municipal elections.
“The senior office bearers will look after the organisational affairs as PPCC representatives in the respective District Congress Committee to strengthen the party at the grass root level,” said Bajwa. These senior leaders would also oversee the monthly meeting of the District committee and the Block panels.
Meanwhile, Brahm Mohindra will be in-charge of Sangrur, Sadhu Singh Dharamsot of Muktsar, Om Prakash Soni of Kapurthala, Surinder Pal Singh Sibia of Amritsar, Randeep Singh Nabha of Ferozepur, Tarlochan Singh Soond of Mansa, Charanjit Singh Channi of Tarn Taran, and Sangat Singh Gilzian of Jalandhar (Rural) district. Besides, Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi has been given the charge of party’s Youth Congress, Sports and Culture Cell, Kewal Singh Dhillon of Industry and Trade Cell, Gurpreet Singh Kangar of Kisan and Khet Mazdoor Cell, Col CD Singh Kamboj of Ex-Servicemen Cell, Sardul Singh of PPCC legal Department, among others.
PPCC general secretary Aruna Chaudhary was given the charge of Mahila Congress, Karan Kaur Brar of Intellectual Cell, and Razia Sultana of the RTI Cell.
