The city denizens are all set to witness a week full of merriment and entertainment during the upcoming World Tourism Week starting September 26.
From International food festivals to musical nites, the Chandigarh Tourism Department has planned a gamut of activities during the festival.As the tourism week will unfold, a plethora of events and competitions will dot the city with its tourism oriented activities which include “Su-Prabhat-Good Morning Raga”, “Heritage Walks”, “Competitions”, “Free Hop On Hop Off rides”, “Bollywood Musical Nites among others.
An official of the UT Tourism Department said that two musical nites, one each on September 27 and 28 will be organised in the city. Renowned Bollywood singers and Punjabi singers would perform at the musical nites.The theme of the tourism week is yet to be finalized. like previous years, food festivals will be organized in various hotels and restaurants during the world tourism week celebrations, said he.The official said, “International food festivals, discounts on food and musical evenings would be highlights during the week of merriment in Chandigarh.”
