Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal will take up the issue of “pending legitimate demands” of anganwadi workers and helpers associated with the Women Development and Child Welfare project with the Centre.
“Due to centralisation of powers by the Central Government, the State’s rights have reduced so I would take up the matter of pending demands of Anganwari workers with the Centre for solving them,” said Badal while addressing the gathering after being felicitated by All India Anganwari Mulaazim Union on Wednesday. Besides, the Chief Minister also announced that the state government would soon issue the promotion list of Anganwari workers to Supervisors in the Women Development and Child Welfare department.
