Under the policy, three to five houses will be demarcated as micro-containment zones from where a high number of positive cases are being reported. The perimeter control will remain in place for 14 days starting from the last positive case detected in the zone.

The policy includes measures like establishment of clear entry and exit points, extensive four level contact tracing, house to house survey on daily basis, testing of symptomatic, suspected and high risk persons, strict enforcement of home quarantine, community based communication.

Manoj Parida, Adviser to Administrator said that there will be micro-containment zones after mapping of new cases coming up in different sectors and areas.  This will enable the Administration to control infection without causing much hardship to the neighbouring areas, he said.
