Chandigarh to be kerosene free

In a meeting presided by Deputy Commissioner Ajit Balaji Joshi, directions were issued to  the authorities concerned to arrange for making the city kerosene free. 

As per the plan, all the people using kerosene oil for domestic purposes will be replaced with an lPG connection at subsidised rates.

To Speed up the whole development, announcements are being made on regular basis at the areas of Chandigarh where dependency on kerosene oil is in high volumes, jingles will be aired on popular FM stations of Chandigarh. Volunteers are also being deployed to guide the people to avail the service of new lPG connection at subsidised rates.
