Chandigarh Mayor, Davesh Moudgil on Sunday inaugurated open air gyms in two green parks at Sector 40 and second gym at Sector 39 in presence Gurbax Rawat, area councillor, officers of MCC and other prominent persons of the area. While addressing the gathering, the Mayor said that the Municipal Corporation is providing open air gyms in each and every park to facilitate the local residents.
He said that keeping in view the health of general public, the MCC is committed to provide best possible facilities and infrastructure in each locality. Gurbax Rawat said that she is committed to provide these kind of open air gyms in each park in her ward so that the local area residents can maintain their health.
She said that with the provision of these gyms, general public can do exercise as and when they get time. The total cost of the both open air gyms at Sector 39 and 40 comes around Rs 7 lakh including provision of latest equipments i.e. Push Chair.
