The 10th Chandigarh Golfing Tour 2014, being organised by Chandigarh Golf Association (CGA), will be held from December 19 to 21. On the first day, it will be held at Forest Hill Golf Resort ( Practice round), on Day 2 at Chandigarh Golf Club (Match) and on the final day at Panchkula Golf Club (Match)
The organisers said so far 95 entries have been received from 12 countries of the world. Maximum participation is from the USA and Canada with 30 and 26 players respectively. There will be 16 players from United Kingdom, 11 from Australia, besides other countries.
The competition this year is likely to be contested between the USA and Canadian players. last year’s champion Amarjit Brara will again be defending his title. There are 7 players with single figure handicap and lowest is Dalminder Minhas with 4.6 handicap from the USA.
The format of play like last year will be stroke play and championship will be decided on the best aggregate score of the two match venues of the game. Those associated with this event include Tourism Departments of Govt of India, Chandigarh, Punjab & Haryana, Indian Golf Tourism Association (IGTA) and Goel Motors.
