Under the guidance of SK Sharma, Chairman, BBMB, Bhakra Beas Management Board has started low level Inspection of Pong Dam. Such inspection can only be carried out when water level of Maharana Pratap Sagar i.e. Pong reservoir falls below the level of 1300 ft.
The work was started on April 18 and is scheduled to be completed on May 6. Sharma visited Beas Dam to inspect the maintenance activities of Power Tunnel P-2 which has been started by project Engineers. He conducted high level meeting in committee room at dam site with the engineers of BBMB and asked the project engineers to complete this gigantic task in scheduled time.
On this occasion A.K. Bali, Chief Engineer, Bhakra Dam, Kirpal Singh, Chief Engineer, Generation, N.S. Dehal, Chief Engineer, BSl Project, Tarlochan Singh, Chief Engineer, Dam Safety, Tarun Agarwal, Secretary, BBMB, Anil Kumar Dhull, Director, HP-II and other engineers and officers of BBMB Projects attended the meeting.
