The first phase of Census-2021 in Haryana will be from from May 1 to June 15, 2020.
A spokesman of the Directorate of Census Operations on Wednesday said Haryana Directorate of Census Operations, participated in the International ‘Gita Jayanti Mahotsav’ at Kurukshetra and made people aware about Census-2021.
Census-2021 will be a Digital Census. For the first time in the 150 year history of census in India, data will be collected through a specially designed mobile app and enumerators would be encouraged to use their mobile phones for collecting information.
The spokesman said that with the use of technology, census data would be processed faster enabling timely release and use of data.
He said that the Census stall displayed various Census publications viz. Administrative Atlas, Tables on Houses, Household Amenities and assets and Primary Census Abstract 2011.
Visitors were made aware about phases of the Census exercise and the questions which are to be canvassed during the Census exercise. People were exhorted to participate and co-operate in this huge administrative exercise and contribute towards nation building by providing complete and accurate information.
