Haryana Police have announced a cash reward of Rs1 lakh for providing information on prime accused in All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) paper leak case, Roop Singh Dangi. Haryana Police stated that they have arrested 12 people, including three doctors, in connection with the case so far. The police said that the photograph of the accused has been circulated in the public and assured that the name of the informer would be kept confidential.

Resident of Madina village in Rohtak district, Dangi has allegedly been on the run since May 3, when the police busted a gang of four persons allegedly involved in the leak. Police have appealed to the people to share any information they may have about Dangi with Special Investigation Team chief Amit Bhatia (08222944103) and Inspector Vijay (08222944113).

The Supreme Court had, on June 3, directed the Haryana Police to file a fresh report in the case. The police have to file the reply by the 10th of this month. The Supreme Court on Wednesday asked the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) not to declare the results of the AIPMT till June 10 in wake of the ongoing investigations.

Around 6.3 lakh students sat for the exam, of whom 2,000 will get admission to medical institutes across India. The SIT, which is probing the case, had told the court that the mastermind Roop Singh Dangi used government and private doctors to find out the answers and sent those to the students through WhatsApp and SMS from multiple phones and SIM cards.
