Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Capt Amarinder Singh on Wednesday thanked the people of Punjab and his party colleagues and leaders for the grand success of the rally at Bathinda without whose support, he said, it could not have been possible.
“As I feel humbled and overwhelmed with the mammoth support you all have extended to me, I also understand your expectations and realise the serious responsibility you have put on my shoulders,” said Capt Amarinder, in a statement.
“We have made a great beginning together and it would certainly not have been possible without your support and cooperation,” said the PPCC president adding, “let us together take our mission to the logical conclusion and handover the Congress government to the millions of party workers who have great expectations from us”.
He said that this is not only important for the party, but also Punjab that needs to be saved politically, socially and economically.
