Punjab former Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Capt Amarinder Singh on Friday congratulated the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his successful visit to the United States. “Prime Minister Modi has provided new direction and leadership to the Indian diplomacy which is lacking so far…Whether it is maintaining strategic and diplomatic independence or maintaining strong and positive relationship with friendly nations, PM Modi has drawn a perfect balance,” said Capt Amarinder, adding that this has really happened for the first time in India’s diplomatic history. He said that it was a rare distinction for any international leader to address the US Parliament twice and PM Modi was just one among very few.
