Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh on Monday strongly condemned the sharing of the morphed image of his Cabinet colleague Navjot Singh Sidhu on various social media platforms.
Requesting everyone to refrain from sharing or forwarding the morphed image, the Chief Minister said that such defamatory content should be verified.
“Strongly condemn the sharing of the morphed image of @sherryontopp on various social media platforms. Request everyone to refrain from sharing/forwarding such defamatory content without verification,” tweeted Capt Amarinder from his official Twitter handle.
The Chief Minister’s reaction came after social media sites shared a photograph showing Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu wearing a green turban, printed with a star and a crescent — elements that are symbolic to Islam.
