Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Capt Abhimanyu has urged Union Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Minister, Anant G Geete to soon take a decision keeping in view the interests of the employees of HMT, Pinjore.
In a written communication addressed to the Union Minister, Capt Abhimanyu also appealed to him to take a decision regarding disbursal of wages and other dues to the employees.
Capt Abhimanyu said that suggestions were offered in a meeting held with Union Joint Secretary, Heavy Industries Department, Vishvajit Sahay, under the chairmanship of Haryana CM, Manohar lal.
He urged Anant G Geete to also take a decision on the suggestions at the earliest possible.
Notably, an official of Hindustan Machine Tools (HMT), a public sector undertaking (PSU) which is facing shutdown, had committed suicide last month by jumping off stairs of an overhead water tank located on the factory premises.
