Haryana Finance Minister Capt. Abhimanyu has directed all the departments to utilise funds on development works expeditiously and ensure their timely completion.
The funds if not utilised for the purpose these have been allocated by the government would not only slow down the pace of economy but would also lead to inconvenience to the common people due to incomplete developmental works.
Capt Abhimanyu said this while presiding over the review meeting regarding various development works of Narnaund constituency, organised at Hisar.
He reviewed the progress report of implementation of announcements made by Chief Minister, Manohar Lal.
The Minister said that soon he would convene block-wise meeting in the presence of the sarpanches and would take report of each of these works from the officials. He gave instructions to the officials to spend the funds lying unused in bank accounts at the earliest on development works.
Capt Abhimanyu said that for electricity connection, in ITI Bhaklana, the funds are lying deposited with the Power Corporation for last 6 months and electricity connection has not been given so far.
Expressing deep concern over this, he constituted a committee headed by SDM to investigate the reason for this delay. He instructed the committee to submit the report within 7 days. If these officers are not serious in implementing the announcements made by the Chief Minister, how would they be interested for the work of people, the Minister added.
Capt Abhimanyu also gave necessary instructions to the officers for power supply to the boosting stations of Khanda Khedi, Nara and Kheri Jalab.
The Minister took the progress report of widening of road from Jind to Hansi besides other. Apart from this, the Finance Minister reviewed the progress work of various projects including irrigation projects, water supply projects, herbal park, ITI, colleges, water supply, roads, streets, health centers, grain procurement centers, extension of sub yard, bus shelter and projects of electricity department. He also gave instructions to the concerned officers and officials to complete them in a time bound manner.
