Sahayta Charitable Welfare Society on Saturday held annual celebrations of Cancer Survivors and International Childhood Cancer Day for celebration of life and to pay tribute to the millions of cancer patients and survivors fighting this disease with courage, hope and determination.
The children enthralled the audience with their enthusiasm, joy and ability to have fun and enjoy life in spite of being unwell. President Renu Saigal spelled out various activities and projects of 2015, not forgetting to thank the doctors for their tremendous support and the volunteers who have been working selflessly. Balwinder recalled her experiences as a survivor and Dr Amita Trehan from Pediatrics PGI gave a talk on Cancer Awareness.
A play “God’s Daughter” by survivors Divya Jot, Neena Singh, Sonia Virdhi, Daman Mangat and Renu Saigal was also organised.
