Haryana Government would soon launch a special campaign to make people aware of linking voters’ list with Adhaar number. The State Chief Electoral Officer Shrikant Walgad on Thursday said, “Our aim is to increase public participation in linking voters’ list with Aadhaar Number. Initially, Aadhaar number and mobile numbers of important persons would be registered in the voters’ list”.
The CEO said that the special campaign would play significant role in making this programme a success. Under this campaign, the BlOs would visit doorsteps of voters from April 12 to May 15 to provide them information regarding Adhaar number. Also, boards carrying messages of Adhaar feeding would be placed at public places like vegetable markets, Anaj Mandi's, bus stands, railway stations, ration depots, banks, ATMs, petrol pumps among others.
