The cadre of senior IPS officer Rajvant Pal Singh has been changed permanently and he has been absorbed in Haryana cadre.
According to a spokesman of the police department, the cadre was changed with the concurrence of Governments of Andhra Pradesh and Haryana. Government of India transferred the services of Singh from Andhra Pradesh cadre to Haryana cadre with immediate effect on the ground of extreme personal hardship earlier this month.
The appointment committee of the Cabinet had approved the proposal of the ministry of Home Affairs for change of cadre of Singh, IPS officer of the 1985 batch, Andhra Pradesh cadre to Haryana. Singh, who is working on deputation as Additional Director General of Police, Operations, has already been working with Haryana Police since February 2009 with this order of Government of India.
