BSP snaps ties with LSP in Haryana

Published on:

After the humiliating defeat in Lok Sabha polls in Haryana, the Bahujan Samaj Party has parted ways with its alliance partner Loktantra Suraksha Party of former MP Raj Kumar Saini.

The announcement came only two days after the LSP chief Raj Kumar Saini claimed that the BSP-LSP alliance is in a strong position and will contest upcoming Haryana Assembly polls together to form the next government in the state.

The BSP and the LSP had contested on eight and two seats respectively in the parliamentary elections and all the candidates of the alliance partners had finished at poor fourth or fifth place, even losing their security deposit.

Accusing former MP and ex-BJP leader Raj Kumar Saini of helping the BJP in general elections 2019, BSP Haryana incharge Meghraj on Tuesday said that we have decided to break ties with LSP and  go it alone in State Assembly elections due to be held later this year.

“Raj Kumar Saini has no standing in his backward community and his statements during elections have benefitted the BJP,” alleged Meghraj.
