Bodies of three minor siblings who went missing on November 11 were on Tuesday recovered from the Morni hills area of Haryana’s Panchkula district.

As panic spread in the area, locals informed the police about three children found dead in the Morni hills area.

Police has identified the three children as 11-year-old Sameer, eight-year-old Simran and four-year-old Samar, all residents of Sarsa village in Kurukshetra district.

“We were looking for them. Then it came to our knowledge that some family members were behind the murder. We have recovered the bodies of children,” said Kurukshetra SP Abhishek Garg.

He said that there were bullet injury marks on their bodies.

Based on preliminary investigation, police suspect the children’s father and uncle’s involvement in the alleged murder.

Garg said the uncle, identified as Jagdeep Malik, was arrested for the triple murder while father of the victims, Sonu Malik, was being questioned.

“The victims’ uncle has told us that he committed crime at the behest of their father. The father was allegedly having illicit relations with another woman,” the SP said.

DCP Panchkula Manbir Singh along with other senior police officers visited and inspected the crime scene. A forensics team was also called to the spot.

The bodies of three children have been sent for post-mortem even as police continue their investigation into the case.
