Miffed at his party’s attitude towards Jat community demanding quota in jobs and educational institutions, BJP’s Kurukshetra MP Raj Kumar Saini on Monday hinted at going separate ways in 2019 state assembly polls.
“In 2019, we will decide how to win while fighting for our rights. We are standing with you today but do not take this as our weakness,” said Raj Kumar Saini while lashing out at his own party during a rally in Kurukshetra on the birth anniversary of Jyotiba Phule.
Indirectly presenting himself as Chief Minister candidate in next assembly polls in Haryana, Saini also called on his supporters to gear up for 2019 elections.
He also announced to hold another rally in Jind next year to make strategy for the future course of action.
The BJP leader also slammed his party’s Government for removing Section 307 in the FIR registered against those who had attacked him in Kurukshetra last month.
“Section 307 was removed due to pressure but it was a pre-planned attack to kill me. Those youth were also honoured by a community for attacking me,” said Saini.
The BJP’s defiant MP Saini, also reiterated that the Rajya Sabha is an unnecessary burden on the national exchequer as it hardly served any purpose.
Rajya Sabha should be abolished immediately as it was set up by the Britishers to serve their own interest, said he
He also demanded that the Government should give reservation to different castes – 100 per cent – in proportion to their population.
Referring to Jat community without naming it, Saini said that we are not against a community but we want equality for all. People have forcefully taken reservation and also disturbed peace in the state, said he.
“But, I will fight against the “gundagardi” (unruliness) and fight for the rights of OBCs reservation,” said the BJP leader, who has been vocal against Jat reservation.
He also advocated for one family, two children norm in the country,
The Kurukshetra MP also appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for demonetization move and said that this practice would check black money.
Union Minister Upendra Kushwaha also addressed the rally and sought reservation for backward classed in private sector also.
