BJP's Haryana, Pb, Chandigarh units request PM to address rally on Sep 11

Haryana, Punjab and Chandigarh units of the BJP have made a request to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address a rally in Chandigarh during his visit to Chandigarh on September 11.

Anil Jain, BJP in-charge of Haryana said that the request has been forwarded through national president Amit Shah. He said the people in this region are eager to hear the Prime Minister.

Jain said Modi is to visit Faridabad before his Chandigarh visit where he will inaugurate Metro on September 5. Faridabad Administration was observing a seven day Swachhta Mission to make Faridabad free of filth and present a Swachha Faridabad before the Prime Minister, he said.

On the appointments of Chairmen of Boards and Corporations in Haryana, Jain said that the appointments are expected soon before the party completes one year in the State.

He said the organisational elections of BJP State unit would be held in October. Block level elections would be conducted first followed by the Zila and Mandal level elections in November. Thereafter the State body elections will be conducted.

Responding to allegations made by Ex-minister Karan Singh Dalal, Jain said that the Congress leader is free to bring the issue in Assembly and the issue can be debated in the House. Calling the opposition’s allegations baseless, he said that Congress is a party of people who make allegations and then run away from their own words and INlD is a group of opportunists.

Jain did not take a stand on Jat reservation in the state saying the issue has been dealt with by the Supreme Court. Opening a window for debate on the issue, he said that the issue of reservation deserves a national debate and the party is open to participate in such a debate.
