BJP's Haryana office starts functioning in Chandigarh

After a long wait,  the State Office of Haryana Bharatiya Janata Party has started functioning in Chandigarh.  The new party office housed in Kothi No. 51, MlA flats, Sector 3, started its formal functioning from Tuesday when Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma had meeting with the party cadres and general public and listened to their grievances. State BJP president Subhash Barala was also present in the office on Tuesday. Talking to the media, Barala said that after the overwhelming victory in Assembly polls last year, the party cadre had been demanding a separate office for the Haryana unit in Chandigarh. "It was very much required as a large number of BJP workers come to Chandigarh for getting different works of general public done from the state Capital," he said.

Barala said a minister of Haryana government will sit everyday in the party office for at least two hours and listen to the demands and grievances of the public. He said all issues of public will be addressed through the party office.

Sending a strong signal to the bureaucrats, Barala said that the authorities are accountable to the public at large and when party workers approach officials for public cause, it is the duty of the officials to give proper heed to such party workers. No laxity will be taken lightly in this regard, he warned. Raj Nirbhik has been appointed the In-charge of the local office.
