BJP youth wing secy raps Virbhadra over character certificate issue

The State Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha, Mahesh Sipahiya,  on Monday came down heavily on Himachal Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh for issuing character certificates to the Opposition leaders and his detractors without introspecting about himself. Talking to reporters, he said it was amusing that Chief Minister was issuing character certificates to the BJP leaders whose honesty was unquestionable. He said Virbhadra had publicaly announced if BJP won in the recent Parliamentary elections he would not only resign from post of Chief Minister, but also renounce politics. He neither resigned nor left politics. “This is his character,” Sipahiya ridiculed.

The Congress lost all the four Parliamentary seats from Himachal, including that of his wife Pratibha Singh from Mandi Parliamentary constituency during the Congress Government headed by him. BJP got big lead in 63 of 68 Assembly segments including that of his own — Shimla rural. "Had he been a man of character, he should have resigned forthwith on moral grounds. Raja was living in fools’ paradise unaware of the fact that his days were numbered in the wake of swelling dissidence in Congress," The BJYM leader added. Many Congress leaders, he claimed, were on their wings to join BJP.

Sipahiya warned Virbhadra Singh against launching one-point programme of implicating Prem Dhumal and his family in false, politically motivated and frivolous cases.
