BJP warns Cong over unlawful transfer-postings

Crying foul over the alleged vendetta politics of Congress Government in the State, Himachal Pradesh BJP state in-charge and national vice president Balbir Punj said that State Government is unable to digest the success of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) and is deliberately targeting institutions of national importance.

“These institutions have brought laurels to the State and have brought it in the international maps but Congress is unable to digest the success of institutions which have come up during BJP regime,” said Punj at Palampur on the concluding day of BJP party workers’ workshop. Punj was reacting on a question that vigilance case has been registered against HPCA for irregularities in the construction of high end ‘Hotel Pavillon’.

HPCA is headed by BJP MP and former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal’s son Anurag Thakur. “During our three days workshop, we discussed the working of Virbhadra Singh’s Government and found that no public interest work has been done so far except for unconstitutional transfer-postings of officials done in past six months,” he said.

“BJP will not tolerate this and from Vidhan Sabha to streets, party will expose the Congress Government on the issue of unconstitutional transfers and postings,” said Punj warning Congress to refrain from indulging in vendetta politics. State BJP chief Satpal Singh Satti also condemned the unconstitutional transfer and postings done in the State and said that BJP will observe an anti transfer-posting week in the State from August 12 to August 19 from all district head quarters to every Panchayats.

Satti said during the monsoon session on August 23, BJP will stage dharna in the Assembly against unconstitutional transfer and postings being done in the State. “From September 1 to September 15, the issue will be taken to every village and thereafter from September 27 to October 10, added Satti.” The issue will be taken to every booth level after formation of booth level committees,” Satti said.
