BJP to impartially probe Vadra land deal, says Hooda

Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, accused of favouring Robert Vadra in his deal with the DlF on Monday said now that the BJP is in power in Haryana, it can have an impartial probe.

“Now, BJP has its Government in the State. They can investigate the matter thoroughly, let the issue be probed impartially, Hooda said at the UT Guest House. He was in Chandigarh to take part in the first session of newly elected Assembly.

Hooda added “No favour has been done to anybody”.The reaction of the former Chief Minister came a day after Haryana Chief Minister Manohar lal Khattar, said that “law will take its own course on the land deals in the State involving businessman Robert Vadra's company”.

BJP had alleged irregularities in the land deals involving Vadra and had raked up the issue during campaign in the 2014 lok Sabha and before last month's Assembly polls to attack Congress.

However, Health Minister of Haryana Anil Vij on Monday reiterated that all the shoddy land deals would be probed thoroughly and no body would be spared. Vij added that recent report of CAG on Vadra had come and it would be investigated in the PAC, but at State level, our Government would also go through it thoroughly.
