BJP to form next Govt in Haryana: Dera

After exit polls of Haryana showed BJP forming the government on its own, Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda on Thursday said after the support of the organisation, BJP would certainly form the next Government in the State.

“It was a historic election with over 76 per cent turnout which broke record of four decades in the state. This is more than enough to certify our claims”, said Pradeep Insan, national president of political wing of Dera Sacha Sauda, Sirsa.

Dera Sacha Sauda, an influential religious sect, on October 13 had extended its open support to BJP on all the 90 assembly seats in the state, which was confirmed by the political wing of the Dera. They had also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Sirsa during poll campaigning.

The ice was broken when a few weeks ago, BJP’s political affairs in charge for Haryana, Kailash Vijayvargia, had also led a team of 40-candidates to seek blessings of Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim in Sirsa.

“We have an impressive following with 65 lakh Sadh Sangat in all the 90 assembly constituencies”, added Pradeep Insan. He told the Pioneer, “We have four lakh followers each in district Karnal, Kaithal and Sonepat, besides 3.5 lakh in Jind and Fatehabad and three lakh in districts Mahendergarh, Ambala, Kurukshetra,

Sirsa, Panipat, Rohtak, Yamunanagar, Jhajjar and Hisar in Haryana”.

“Most of the BJP stalwarts, including Manohar lal Khattar (Karnal), Chaudhary Birender Singh’s wife Prem lata (Uchana), Captain Abhimanyu (Jind), Ram Bilas Sharma (Mahendergarh), Anil Vij(Ambala) are contesting in area where Dera followers are in large numbers," said

Pradeep Insan.

He said in districts like Bhiwani, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Palwal, Panchkula and Rewari, the Dera has a following between 2 to 2.5 lakh in each district.

“Our Guru had already given clear instructions to cast votes in favour of only BJP to get clear mandate for form government to deliver clean and good governance in the state”, said Pradeep Insan.

Political observers said Dera Sacha Sauda votes would compensate BJP in Jat dominated constituencies like Sirsa, kaithal, Ambala, Fatehabad, Jind, Mahendergarh and Hisar districts. It is also expected to help the party fetch non-jat vote in areas including Karnal, Kurukshetra, Panipat, Sonepat, Rewari and Panchkula.
