Himachal Chief Minister, Virbhadra Singh on Monday said that Congress was not afraid of the charge-sheet BJP was preparing against it.

"If unfounded or baseless charges of corruption are levelled against the Government, BJP should be ready to face legal consequences," the Chief Minister said, adding that if any person in Congress was found to be involved in corruption with sufficient proof, as per allegations in the chargesheet, the Government will not take a minute to take action against that person.

Virbhadra said that the charge sheet, the BJP was preparing, appears to be a bundle of lies, and the Government won't hesitate in filing defamation, if any baseless charges were levelled against any one.

The Chief Minister said that statement of BJP Prtesident, Amit Shah in ‘Tridev Sammelan’ of BJP, on Sunday, blaming the Congress of corruption without any evidence was uncalled for. He said that it was an old habit of BJP to be involved in character assassination and misguide the people. He said that the Government would take action against the person found involved in corruption irrespective of status.

Countering Amit Shah's claim that a sum of `75 crore had been given to the State Government for roads, the Chief Minister said that truth was that not even a single penny had been received from the Centre. He said that the claims of BJP to have given 61 National Highways to State was false.

Virbhadra said that not even a sum of `171 crore required for conducting surveys of National Highways had not been sanctioned by the Union Government.

He urged the people to be aware from malicious propaganda of the BJP.
