Responding to comments made on him by former chief minister Harish Rawat, the Bharatiya Janata Party State president Bansidhar Bhagat has retorted that Rawat is unable to handle the bitter truth. Bhagat has also written an open letter to Rawat raising various questions.
Among other statements, Rawat had commented that though Bhagat plays the role of Dashrath in Ramlila, he makes statements akin to Ravan.
Responding to that Bhagat writes in the letter, “You are Congress’ Kalnemi sent by Ravan (Congress) to stop Hanuman’s way. However, you will recall that Kalnemi was defeated by Hanuman. Similarly, Hanuman in the form of the public will again defeat a Kalnemi like you in 2022.
Everyone knows about your friendship with Mulayam Singh Yadav during Uttarakhand statehood movement. All are aware of how many scams were orchestrated after Congress formed the Government in the State.”He further accused Rawat of attempting to take credit for any major work which the BJP Government undertakes- whether it be the all weather road project or the Jamrani dam project.
“I want to inform people of Uttarakhand that the BJP Governments have been and will continue correcting the impacts of dark deeds done by the Congress.
It was Rawat’s hateful politics towards the Ganga which made him declare the river an escape channel. Our Government will surely correct this mistake of yours. Anyway, may mother Ganga grant you good sense,” wrote Bhagat.
It will be recalled that recently Harish Rawat had apologised for the decision taken during his term as the CM of declaring the Ganga at Har ki Paidi an escape channel. He has demanded that the current State Government correct this decision.
