BJP manifesto bundle of unkept promises, false claims: Bansal

Published on:

Pawan Kumar Bansal, Congress Lok Sabha candidate termed the BJP manifesto nothing but a bundle of unkept promises and false claims.

He said BJP did not even verify the facts before including them in the manifesto. They could have copy pasted the old manifesto as nothing was done in the last five years, he added.

While reacting sharply to allegations levelled against him in the manifesto, he said, Kirron Kher must explain, intervention by a foreign company in favour of monorail leading her to change her stand from metro to monorail, engagement of blacklisted company for tribune flyover and bringing in a company from Mumbai for parking contract and without introducing smart parking rates were increased from Rs 5 to 10 and then Rs 20.

He said, in the last manifesto 65 assurances were made but nothing tangible has been done.

With BJP releasing the manifesto three days prior to polling date, it only shows it is a mere formality and with 150 copies printed, how could BJP think of reaching out to people of Chandigarh with the last-minute launch, he added.
