Full of confidence to regain its political base that it badly lost to the Congress in the 2009 general elections in all five seats of Uttarakhand, the BJP, in a bid not to lose any chance to secure its victory, has launched a survey to assess party’s preparations in all five seats of Uttarakhand ahead of the polling.
leading a team to see party's poll preparations on the ground, leader of Opposition and senior BJP leader Ajay Bhatt during his Kumaon visit here on Sunday informed that the works to see the election preparations in all five lok Sabha seats would be completed on Monday.
The preparations for the upcoming lok Sabha elections are more or less on the track. There is huge enthusiasm among the party workers in all five lok Sabha seats of Uttarakhand. We are visiting different parliamentary constituencies of the State only to ensure that preparations for the upcoming electoral battle are put in place, he added.
Meanwhile, launching a scathing attack on the Congress led State Government for diverting the attention of people from its alleged failures on governance front, senior BJP leader Bhatt allegedly said that the Congress led State Government has done nothing during the past two years in office except changing leadership at the Government level. Relief and rescue works in natural disaster hit areas remain stuck due to the failure of this Congress led State Government. Therefore, there is a lot of disappointment among the people. So the Congress party that has nothing to offer to the electorate is levelling false allegations against its opponents, Bhatt further said.
The matter of concern is the food security scheme that the Congress led State Government brought in a much published manner is now a total failure. There is no food grain supply to remote and hilly areas, alleged the senior BJP leader.
However, calling upon the party workers to be united to face the upcoming lok Sabha elections, Bhatt expressed hope that the BJP would win all lok Sabha seats in the hill State this time. Among others senior BJP leaders Munna Singh Chauhan and Madan Kaushik were also part of the BJP’s poll preparation survey team.
