Putting an end to the speculations of a reshuffle of its Cabinet Ministers, the top brass of the Punjab BJP on Friday made it clear that they would continue till the end of the Government's term.
Instead of taking any tough stance on the question of performance, the party has extended the lifeline of all its Ministers with certain commandments.
The decision was reached at in the meeting held by Punjab BJP chief Vijay Sampla with the BJP Cabinet Ministers. Punjab Affairs In-charge Prabhat Jha and Organisation Secretary Dinesh Kumar were also present in the meeting.
In an apparent move not to let any discord breed in the party cadre, the Punjab BJP Affairs In-charge, Prabhat Jha in his brief talk with the media said that all the Ministers of the party will complete their term.
He said that the Ministers had been asked to gird up loins for the coming Assembly elections, and now onwards all the Ministers would be sitting in BJP Headquarter in Chandigarh on every Wednesday for public hearing. The Ministers had been asked to address the grievances of the party workers at priority basis, said Jha.
All the Ministers have also been asked to visit all the 23 constituencies, where the party had fielded its candidates in 2012 Assembly elections.
Jha downplayed speculations of reshuffle saying the issue did not figure in the discussions but it is learnt that the party developed cold feet on reshuffle amidst the
ruckus by the Ministers The Ministers vociferously raised the matter of being overlooked by the SAD leaders and the bureaucracy that is said to have marred their performance.
On a question on seat sharing, Jha said that both the alliance parties had started focusing on their seats as per the available arrangement and the seat sharing issue would be taken up by the senior leaders of both the parties. He said that now onwards BJP will emerge as an altogether different force in the State.
