Miffed over the “unsupportive attitude” of the bureaucrats in Haryana, the State BJP members on Wednesday expressed their resentment against bureaucrats during the State party executive meet.
The workers complained about the inaccessibility of senior bureaucrats at the State and district levels during the second and concluding day of BJP State executive meeting held at Hisar.
Following this, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar lal apprised the workers that changes are being brought in the administrative system to make them accountable for their work. Addressing the members of the State working committee, the Chief Minister also said that all party workers should maintain vigil on the functioning of officers and employees and inform the government in case of negligence.
He also asked the members to ensure immediate hearing and redressal of the grievances of the people.
This is not the first time that the party members have voiced their opinion against the functioning of bureaucrats in Haryana. Earlier also, the issue has been raised in several meetings with BJP incharge of Haryana affairs, Anil Jain.
Notably, the monitoring and coordination cell of Chief Minister is reviewing performance of various bureaucrats besides reviewing the implementation of various schemes at district level.
Besides expressing displeasure over the functioning of bureaucrats, the party members also expressed unhappiness over the implementation of pradhan mantri fasal bima yojna and process of paddy procurement in the state.
Meanwhile, BJP Kurukshetra MP Raj Kumar Saini, who has been issuing statements against the State Government, also attended the meeting on Wednesday.
Sources said that Saini also met Chief Minister and BJP incharge for Haryana affairs, Anil Jain for several minutes and gave clarification on his recent statements. Saini has been asked to maintain party’s decorum, said sources.
A day before, the state leaders had communicated their displeasure over Saini’s statements to Anil Jain and also, demanded action against the BJP Kurukshetra MP. Recently, Saini had slammed state BJP president Subhash Barala and state cabinet minister OP Dhankar for putting unnecessary pressure on the State Government over the issue of reservation. Apart from this, the BJP MP had also questioned on the selection procedure of the HCS (Haryana Civil Services) hinting at a scam.
Saini has also given indication to form a separate political outfit.
Talking to mediapersons after the meeting, BJP incharge for Haryana affairs, Anil Jain said that we have hailed the two years performance of Manohar lal Khattar Government in the state.
When asked about any warning given to BJP MP Saini or likely action by the party against him, Jain said that the issue is already before the disciplinary committee.
The state BJP executive meeting also passed resolutions hailing Prime Minister Narendra Modi for surgical strikes in Pakistan, hailing the performance of Manohar lal Khattar led Haryana Government in past two years and condoling the martyrs who died during recent terrorist attacks.
