BJP has constituted a 10-member committee headed by Parshutam Mahajan for collecting iron pieces and soil from villages of Chandigarh for building the ‘Statue of Unity’ of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in Gujarat.
A spokesperson of the party said that a regional workshop of northern region including Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, HP, Haryana and Chandigarh Runder our national coordinator of Iron Collection Committee Om Prakash Dhankar would be held on December 9 “Resource persons from Gujarat and senior ministers as well as the members of central committee would participate in the workshops to give training of the work of iron and soil collection,” he said.
