BJP, Cong takes a jibe at INlD-BSP alliance

Published on:

A day after Indian National lok Dal (INlD) joined hands with Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) to contest 2019 assembly and general elections in Haryana, BJP and Congress took a dig at the alliance and termed it as “failure”.

Haryana Ministers Anil Vij, Capt. Abhimanyu, Manish Grover, Krishan Kumar Bedi and BJP state president Subhash Barala described the INlD-BSP alliance as a marriage of convenience entered into just to grab power in the state which is doomed to fail.

On the other hand, the Congress termed the alliance as “opportunistic”.

Reacting to the alliance, Haryana Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu said since the culture and ideologies of the two parties were opposed to each other, it would not bear fruits. Greed for power of the leaders of two parties which have been out of power for a long time, has brought them together, he added.

Minister Manish Kumar Grover said, the alliance is not based on principles or ideology and this marriage of convenience is destined to fail.

Grover said the people of SC community are with BJP, not with the party in opposition. Both INlD and Congress never did any thing for SCs and the people of this community do not believe in any party other than BJP, he added.

Haryana Congress chief Ashok Tanwar said that the alliance between INlD and BSP is pure opportunism and both the parties are spent forces and have no steam in them.  He said that INlD-BJP alliance is like two frustrated persons supporting each other just for consolation.

Tanwar said that INlD is trying to retrieve its lost ground in the state and was in search of some support.  Similarly BSP, which was disowned by the people of Uttar Pradesh was also in search some crutches, said the Congress leader.

The people of Haryana suffered atrocities during the INlD misrule and they have discarded it and voted against INlD during the last three Vidhan Sabha elections.  Similarly, the people of Uttar Pradesh have pushed out BSP in the last two Vidhan Sabha elections, he added.

The INlD and BSP had on Wednesday announced to join hands to give a ‘BJP and Congress mukt’ government in Haryana and the country in 2019 polls.
