BJP calls Congress Padyatra a 'flop show'

Chandigarh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has lashed out at the Congress for resorting to padyatra at different places of the city while the sitting MP Pawan Kumar Bansal carries a tainted image.

Calling the Congress’ padyatra a flop show, the party said that it had failed to evoke any response. The Congress workers have been carrying out the Padyatra from last many days but people have been ignoring Pawan Kumar Bansal and his family, claimed BJP. Speaking about the failures of the sitting MP, the BJP leaders said, “Pawan Kumar  Bansal, has failed to live up to the expectations of people and their resentment against him will dethrone the Congress rule in the city this time. Despite being the MP from last 15 years, Bansal could not fulfill his promises. He should avoid making false promises to the common man to grab the votes. Bansal, his family and other congress leaders have been resorting to hollow assurances of development to be in the newspapers”.

The BJP leaders said that the Congress cannot befool the common man with fake vision for the development this time. “The common man made him MP, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, the Minister of Water Resources, Minister of State for Finance, Union Minister for Railways but he cheated people by involving in corruption cases. He ignored the common man completely and kept enriching his own family and relatives,” alleged the BJP. “Now, Chandigarh requires a political leader with clean image and a party like BJP which cherishes the dream to develop the City Beautiful.

This time, people of Chandigarh were going to vote for BJP which would ensure Narendra Modi’s prime ministership too,” said the party leaders.
