Calling serial blasts in Patna as an “act of terror”, BJP on Tuesday chided the Central Government and Bihar Government for alleged “callousness and negligence” shown in handling security arrangements of “Hunkar rally” held at Patna.
BJP national spokesperson Captain Abhimanyu on Tuesday alleged that despite the intelligence agencies inputs about a possible terror attack during the rally, the Centre and Bihar Government remained indifferent regarding security arrangements for the rally. Talking to mediapersons here, he said that the “callousness” shown by the Centre and Bihar Government regarding security at “Hunkar rally” smacks off some nefarious designs of both the governments against the BJP.
Captain Abhimanyu questioned Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s claims of not receiving any intelligence inputs about the possible attack. “Either Nitish Kumar or the intelligence agencies of the country are lying about the inputs,” he added. lambasting the Centre for its “soft approach against terror”, Captain Abhimanyu said that the Congress led UPA Government is apparently playing “vote bank” politics and security of the countrymen is at risk. The Congress has miserably failed to act against anti-national elements and seems to be encouraging them.
Holding Congress led UPA responsible for creating an environment of insecurity across the country; the BJP spokesperson said that the Central Government has failed at both internal and external security fronts. Alleging that the Congress has adopted the policy of “divide and rule”, Capt Abhimanyu said that after its failed tenure of last nine years in the country, the Congress is now trying to garner the support of countrymen by appeasement.
“After looking at the massive gathering and positive response at the rallies of the BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, the Congress is perturbed and do not know what to do. Thus, the ruling party is now playing “vote bank” politics to divert the attention of the general public from the issues of corruption and inflation,” added the senior leader.
He claimed that Modi has become favorite of one and all and his popularity is reaching new heights everyday. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi are nowhere close to Modi in terms of popularity in the country,” he added. He added that Rahul Gandhi had once said that he is miles away from the Prime Minister’s chair, Rahul is actually ‘light years’ away from the position. The BJP leader further said that the rallies of Congress vice president are witnessing poor response from the people hence the ruling party is desperate to garner the support of general public by its nefarious methods.
The BJP also alleged that the Congress is using security and intelligence agencies as per their advantage. The country has already witnessed how the CBI and IB were at loggerheads in the Ishrat Jahan fake encounter.
