Haryana Government has appointed Prashant Bhardwaj as deputy chairman of Haryana Saraswati Heritage Development Board with immediate effect. The State Government had constituted Haryana Saraswati Heritage Development Board with the objective to initiate, promote and support research in the field of Saraswati Heritage and also to assist in its preservation and restoration. The Board will publish books, journals, monographs and biographies of scholars who have contributed to the study of Saraswati Heritage. The Board will raise awareness about richness and importance of the Saraswati Heritage. Apart from this, it would also develop Tourism and a Cultural corridor along with course of Saraswati Heritage Area paleochannels.
