The popular classical dance form—Bharatanatyam—will be performed by renowned classical dancers at Tagore Theatre on October 17.
Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi (CSNA) will organise a Bharatanatyam dance recital by renowned young dancers Viraja Mandhre and Shyamjithkiran from Chennai on October 17. A spokesperson said that Viraja Mandhre and Shyamjithkiran are young dynamic dancer duo in the field of Bharatanatyam today. The duo recent work “Pareekshana” brings together the works of the finest of masters from among various disciplines in the format of a Bharatanatyam Margam comprising five separate pieces.
Earlier, CSNA had organised Kathak and Bharatanatyam dance performances at Tagore Theatre on October 6 and 7.
