Adding another feather to its cap, the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) was conferred with the prestigious award for Bhakra Nangal and Beas Projects as ‘Best Multipurpose Projects’ by Central Board of Irrigation and Power (CBIP).
The award was given in recognition of BBMB’s outstanding contribution to nation’s economy through successful administration, maintenance and operation of complex multipurpose projects for enhancement in agro and milk production, industrialisation, power generation and supply of irrigation and drinking water.
The award was presented by Union Minister of State for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Sanwar lal Jat to BBMB chairman AB Agrawal at a function in New Delhi.
