After successfully surpassing Central Electricity Authority (CEA) target by 10 to 26 percent during last four years since 2010, the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) power houses have again delivered sterling performance during 2014-15.
“In fact, despite poor monsoon, annual generation target of 9275 million units (MUs), set by CEA, has been achieved by the BBMB during January itself,” said BBMB Director (Security).
He said that all the power houses of BBMB, including Dehar Power House individually, have achieved power house-wise targets set by CEA. “This splendid feat is facilitated by ensuring high machine availability of about 97 per cent as well as optimal water reservoir operations leading to effective utilisation of inflows,” he said.
