Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) chairman AB Agarwal administered ‘Swachchhta pledge’ to the BBMB officers and employees at its headquarters in Sector-19, Chandigarh.
The pledge was also administered by Chief Engineers and others to the staff at project locations namely Nangal, Talwara, Sundernagar and at various sub-stations. After the pledge, cleanliness drive was started at the work places, project stations, and township colonies among other places.
The weeding out of files for cleaner work place has already been started and during the Swachh Bharat Campaign a massive drive was launched. The message of Union Power Minister was webcasted live, attended by employees and family members at Boards Office and project locations.
An essay writing competition, on the topic ‘How to fulfil the dream of Swachh Bharat’, was held on October 1 at BBMB Corporate office where officials from different project locations and substations participated.
Besides a ‘Talk’ on ‘Clean India Campaign’ was conducted duly participated by head of the departments, officers and officials. From Friday onwards, the campaign will be accelerated with voluntary participation of each employee of BBMB.
