Questioning the motive of Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal’s Instabul visit, Punjab Congress chief Partap Singh Bajwa on Friday asked if his visit was sponsored by state government or some private company.
“Sukhbir’s visit to Turkey was just a leisure trip on the expenses of state’s tax-payers’,” said Bajwa while asking the SAD-BJP government to reveal purpose of visit and expenditure incurred by Deputy Chief Minister. Bajwa asked Sukhbir to be realistic and stop bluffing on his so-called dream projects. “It would have been better if he introduce himself to basic problems at home. Sukhbir is in the habit of day dreaming and creating a euphoria of development,” he added.
Ridiculing Sukhbir’s claims of copying Instabul model of Bus Rapid Transport System (BRTS) and Solid Waste Management Project, Bajwa reminded ‘Junior Badal’ that he had announced Personal Rapid Transport System (PRTS) for Amritsar and ludhiana two years back and also laid the foundations stone in December 2011. “The metro and mono rail projects for Mohali and ludhiana and Express Highway between Mohali and Amritsar have also not seen light of the day,” he added.
