'Bajwa playing old Cong ruse of dividing Punjabis'

Punjab BJP on Sunday blamed the State Congress president Partap Singh Bajwa of playing the old Congress game again to create division among Punjabis.

“Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Partap Singh Bajwa is playing old Congress game again to create division among Punjabis who are enjoying peace and trying to forget what had happened in Punjab due to the vested interests of Congress,” said BJP national secretary Tarun Chugh.

He said that Bajwa is doing this only to please his masters in Delhi. “Though he seems to give an impression that he is doing so to revive Congress in Punjab, he is putting hard-earned peace at stake for his own survival as PPCC chief. Everybody knows that Congress infighting is at peak and a campaign to dislodge Bajwa is gaining ground by the day,” he said.

Reacting to Bajwa’s utterances in Amritsar and his statement asking Congress cadres for a face-off with the RSS, Chugh said that Bajwa was hell bent in creating disturbance at a crucial juncture when the civic elections are on the threshold.

Referring to Bajwa’s claim of forming a Congress Government in the state in 2017, Chugh said that this reflects poorly on political wisdom of Congress leader, who seems to be totally unaware of mood of common man of India and results of recent elections in the country and then Maharashtra and Haryana.

He alleged that Bajwa was treading the path of those Congress leaders of the state who completely failed to make contact and win the hearts of people of Punjab but played dangerous games of terror in their desperate impulse to rule the State.

“Everyone in Punjab knows the role Giani Zail Singh and other Congress leaders played to bring Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale to the forefront with an ulterior design to create a rift between Hindus and Sikhs who had been living peacefully for centuries,” he said.

Chugh warned Bajwa to understand and even tell his masters at Delhi, not to try their evil designs this time as Prime Minister Narendra Modi was not only committed to the development and pride of the country but also firm that his government won’t allow anyone to play with fire and disturb peace in any part of the country.
