Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Partap Singh Bajwa on Sunday strongly condemned the attack on Namdhari sect Guru Thakur Uday Singh in leicester Gurdwara in UK.
Bajwa, in an official statement, said that it was a cowardly act and the assailants must be brought to book. “Namdhari Guru is an ambassador of peace and harmony and he is visiting UK to spread the message of mankind. Congress express its deep concern over violent attack on a religious head,” he said. Bajwa appealed to the UK Government to take stern action against the culprits. He also asked the Central Government to take up the issue with UK Government for the safety and security of Namdhari Guru.
