To intensify the agitation seeking justice for a teenage girl, Arshdeep, who was thrown out of the speeding Orbit bus by its staff, the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Partap Singh Bajwa on Sunday gave a call for all-party meeting at Moga on May 5. He said that the meeting would chalk out further strategy to put pressure for the registration of case against the Orbit owner who happened to be  the Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal.

“The governance in the State has collapsed as it is mafia ruling the State in the garb of the Akali Dal. Even policemen in the State are not safe as evident from Saturday’s incident in which a policeman was attacked while defending the honour of his daughter,” he said. Bajwa also endorsed the call of the all-party action committee for Moga bandh on Monday beginning 9 am.

Indian Youth Congress president Raja Amarinder Singh Warring also said that all the Opposition parties should unite and fight for the family together. “This is not a mere case of molestation, a young dalit girl of age 14 died in the moving bus of badals and she was brutally molested by the goons of Badal transport (Orbit),” he said.
